THE WAY OF THE RAVEN - VOLUME II OF THE LOST VIKING SAGA

Their world destroyed by raiding Portuguese slavers, a handful of Norse survivors escape from the doomed Medieval Norse settlement of Eystribygð on Greenland. The Greenlanders’ fate is sealed when their ship, blown off course, is wrecked upon the shores of the virtually unknown Western lands, leaving them castaways in the New World. Befriended by the Beothuk, a local Native American tribe, they make a new life for themselves in the place they come to call Vínland. A young Greenlander, obsessed with returning home, embarks with his two closest friends on a misguided adventure seeking to find a reported group of Icelandic sailors in the hopes of gaining passage to Greenland. On this ill-fated journey, he meets a young woman of of the Mi'kmaq Tribe, initiating a star-crossed love affair, the tragic repercussions of which will echo into modern times.

Present day Oslo: Norwegian physician Leonard Koll is haunted by dark, mysterious visions of what appear to be a former life. A high-stakes lawsuit involving a corrupt Canadian pesticide corporation brings Leonard to Canada, somehow triggering even more of these strange dreamlike experiences.  In an unexpected turn of events, the answers Leonard is searching for suddenly surface in Newfoundland, after he subjects himself to The Wind in the Blood, an esoteric type of regression therapy. Leonard comes to the realization that his own tragic story with a former lover mirror that of the past, and that he must right wrongs committed five hundred years earlier in order to gain much sought after catharsis in the present.
